Hi! I’m a teacher-turned-developer with a decade of experience making it easy for people to have great websites.
I know it’s vital to work with a web developer who is not only good with technology, but is also good with people. One of my favorite parts of doing this work is getting to meet the small business owners and artists who make our communities so awesome.
Before I became a developer, I was a teacher and school leader at a therapeutic school. That experience deeply shaped me on a both a personal and professional level. On a professional level, it taught me how to organize and communicate complex information in clear ways. I learned how to ask questions that help people articulate what they’re looking for, and how to truly listen. On a personal level, it taught me the value of diversity and helped me to truly see and appreciate the amazing things that every single person has to offer.
When my own child was born (10 years ago now – crazy how fast they grow!) I made the leap and turned my then-hobby of making websites into my full-time profession. I’m now a senior level web developer with a decade of experience building web sites that help people and businesses achieve their goals.
I’ve spent most of my both of my careers working at mission-driven non-profits and businesses. I’ve done this in different ways over time, but one thing has always been consistent: I dedicate my skills, creativity and passion to mission-driven people and work.
